Our Mission:

To know Christ and make Him known.

We are a Bible believing, Bible teaching, non-denominational church.

We worship in multiple locations, but we are one family.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Leadership of New Hope Church understands that there is room for differing opinions even among Christians. For those who might be searching for a church home and to remove confusion in our everchanging world, we publicly declare our beliefs. Those who have differing opinions are welcome to attend our services with the understanding that these are, and will be, the beliefs of New Hope Church. Everyone, regardless of their personal beliefs, will be treated with love.

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing His love for the world. 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16.

  • We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.

  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15.

  • We believe that all people are lost and face the judgment of God and everlasting punishment in hell, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and eternal life in heaven in the presence of God. We believe this act of faith is best represented by baptism. Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; Romans 6:3-7; Acts 2:38-39; Galatians 3:26-28.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church. 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23.

  • We believe that the ministry of “Knowing Christ” (growing in Christ and helping other followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Him) and “Making Christ Known” (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) is the responsibility of our church and of all followers of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15.

  • We believe that God created human beings as either biological male or biological female and that God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of monogamous marriage between one male and one female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Genesis 1:27, 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27;1 Corinthians 6:9.

  • We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, and to His authority over our lives. Matthew 9:35-38, 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15.

  • We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbor(s).Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:41; Matthew 22:37-39; James 2:8; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10.

  • We believe that God desires us to see all races as equal. Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 1 Timothy 5:21; Colossians 3:25; James 2:1; Revelation 7:9, 14:6; Romans 2:11, 10:12-13; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 4:19-21; Acts 10:34-35, 17:26.

signposts

We also believe that accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is just the beginning of your spiritual journey. We want to help you grow in your faith and help you become a fully devoted follower of Christ. During your journey, there are certain steps we want to help you take. We call these steps the Signposts of Full Devotion.

  • Accept Christ – Go public with your faith through baptism. Baptism by immersion is a picture of what Jesus did for us and we demonstrate our willingness to live for Him by getting baptized. (Romans 6:4-5)

  • Worship Together – Attend weekend services. As believers, we are told to “not give up meeting together” and to “encourage one another.” Getting plugged in to a local church is a step towards spiritual growth. (Hebrews 10:23-25)

  • Membership – We believe every follower of Christ should be committed to a local church family. Anyone can attend a service, but membership means that a person is committed to the vision of the church by giving and serving. (Matthew 6:24, 1 Peter 4:10)

  • Connect & Grow – Spiritual growth happens as we build relationships with others, study God's Word, and experience life together. LifeGroups provide a comfortable environment to do all three and joining one is an essential step in your faith journey. (Acts 20:20)

  • Reach Out – Living on mission can mean serving on short term missions trips or day-long service projects. Serving others is our way of taking the love of Jesus outside of the walls of our church. (Colossians 4:5)

  • Discipleship – Help someone along their spiritual journey! Jesus called us to “go and make disciples” and we do that by walking with and encouraging someone in their faith walk. This can look like meeting with someone once a week, inviting them to attend your LifeGroup, or serving together. (Matthew 28:19)
