Crisis/Suicide Hotline (Text or Call 988) - A trained professional will answer this line 24/7. You do not have to be actively suicidal to use this service but if you just need to talk with a trained professional immediately.

Houston Homeless Shelters - Provides a list of shelters for men, women, teens, etc.
Open Door Mission - Christian housing for destitute men. The president and CEO is a Webster New Hoper.
Salvation Army - For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and families to stay.
The Beacon (Men, Women, and Children)
Women’s Center of Brazoria County - The Women’s Center of Brazoria County offers shelter, support, education, and protection for women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.

Houston Volunteer Lawyers - Houston Volunteer Lawyers provides free civil legal services to low-income residents through a network of volunteer attorneys. Services include family law, housing, probate, guardianship, and other civil matters.
LASSA (Legal Aid for Survivors of Sexual Assault) - LASSA provides free legal aid to survivors of sexual assault across Texas. Services include protective orders, housing and employment rights, and other legal needs related to recovery and safety.
Lone Star Legal Aid - Lone Star Legal Aid provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families. Services include assistance with housing, family law, consumer protection, and other civil matters.
Texas Advocacy Project - Texas Advocacy Project provides free legal advice and representation to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Services include protective orders, safety planning, and legal resources to help clients achieve safety and stability.

Gulf Coast Community Services Association (GCCSA) - Provides rental assistance for individuals and families who have received eviction notices. Does not provide rental deposits or help with late fees.
Pearland Neighborhood Center - Helps individuals and families in Brazoria County with the payment of their electricity and gas bills.
River of Hope (Inside Dream Center) - River of Hope offers rental and utility assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
Salvation Army (Freeport) - Provides assistance in the form of rental, mortgage and utility payments as funds are available and to eligible applicants.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston - Provides financial assistance for rental deposits, rent, mortgage, utilities, and other needs which are considered on a case-by-case basis. Note: Funds are limited and are based on donations from parishioners.
