Carolina Creek - The Wild is now a part of Cho-Yeh

July 15th-18th | Summer 2026

New Hope Kids offers an overnight camp for kids currently enrolled in 2nd-4th grade to experience an incredible time and learn about the message of Jesus. This year, we are excited to take our group to The Wild at Cho-Yeh (formerly Carolina Creek) in Huntsville, TX.

We would love for your kids to join us this summer.

morning gathering

Every morning, we’ll gather in ‘The Ark’ - our extra large building where our campers will learn Biblical lessons, sing songs, and get their hearts ready for a fun-filled day with their friends glorifying the Lord.

outside activities

With activities like the jumping pillow, archery, zipline, The Ocean waterpark and many more, these campers are going to have a thrilling time with their new camp friends!

inside activities

During those hot summer days, it’s also nice to cool off inside and enjoy a slower paced art activity.

small group

Our campers learn foundational spiritual truths about God’s goodness and His deep love for them.  Guided by caring counselors, our elementary-aged campers begin to develop simple habits such as prayer and Bible reading.

meals

This isn’t your average camp food — we serve hearty, family-style meals that guests rave about, especially our legendary Cho-Cookies. - and we have a lot of fun and engaging activities while we dine together as well!

night event

This is our final event of each day where our campers will hear a Biblical message, worship, and learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • We have a full schedule each day to maximize our time at camp.  Your child will be engaging in worship, Bible studies, large group activities, recreation, and all kinds of other fun.

  • Drop-off will take place on Wednesday, June 25th.  Drop-off time will be 12:30-1:00 PM at our 288 campus. The buses will leave promptly at 1:30 PM.

  • Bus transportation will be provided for campers and leaders to and from Carolina Creek.

  • Pick up will take place on Saturday, June 28th.  We will email and text parents the day of departure. We should be returning close to 12:30 PM.

  • Yes, we do mail call every day and the campers love receiving letters from home.  We will have camp mailboxes at the church on the day of departure where you can deposit your letters.   We will not accept food, toys, gifts, or trinkets of any kind in mail.

  • To discourage homesickness, campers will only be able to make or receive calls in the event of a true emergency.

  • Campers may NOT bring a cell phone or other electronic device with them to camp.  Any electronic devices brought to camp will be confiscated and returned to parents once we return from camp.

  • A medication form will be provided to list dosage and times of medication dispersal.  Over-the-counter medications, such as vitamins and melatonin, will not be accepted at drop off. With permission, age-appropriate over-the-counter medications will be provided by the camp and administered by the nurse to your camper, if necessary.

  • Campers will visit the Snack Shack and the Camp Store at least once during their visit.  Spending money at these locations is optional.  Carolina Creek does not accept cash or credit cards.  Funds can be added to your camper’s account through the Carolina Creek Portal.

  • Campers are grouped by gender and grade.  Groups typically consist of 8-10 campers and two trained leaders, one from New Hope Church and one from Carolina Creek.  Campers eat, bunk, and engage in all activities with their group.

  • Bunkmate requests can be submitted on the registration form.  We do our best to honor every bunkmate request, when possible.  Campers must be the same gender and grade to qualify for a bunkmate request.

  • Once registered through New Hope Church, a link will be sent for campers to register on the Carolina Creek Portal.  This link will allow parents/guardians to finish registration information, including medical information, emergency contacts, as well as an opportunity to add funds for campers to spend at camp.

  • Yes, closer to camp, a parent letter will be emailed to registrants with a camp schedule, packing list, departure/arrival details and more!

  • We are happy to answer any questions you have!  Please contact Rob Yzquierdo at ryzquierdo@newhopechurch.tv
